Are you related to Dick Revnes? If so, how do I contact you?

  14. Bev Lewis says... July 30, 2011 | 12:38pm

    Hi Mike,
I just entered the contest and saw your name and wondered if you were related to the Revnes of Royal Cruise Line. After reading further, I learned that it was your Dad. My daughter and I sailed on the Star Odyssey. We were both so impressed with the food & service that she applied for a job in SFO, but decided the commute would be a little difficult from San Jose. Small world! Thank you for the great write up on London. People can not believe, but I have never been there. We have been to many parts of the world but have put off the UK because it is the shortest international flying distance for us. You must do an extensive Australia/NZ trip sometime. Have been there but not by cruise. It will be exciting to sail into SYD. People are very friendly. We love sailing on Princess and each have over 200 days. My daughter still says Royal was one of her favorites.

Hello Mike…I tend to differ with today’s Trivia answer as being incorrect from the way I answered it. “A” is the only ones mentioned in your very nice writeup about tea time. Thanks for checking into this. Judy

Sailing on P. Caribbean 14 days Nov. 27. We sailed the exact itinerary last year, enjoying it so much we booked this year. My question is…….room service off the dining room menu. Royal Caribbean allowed us to do so. Why can’t Princess unless you are in a suite? I can understand being reasonable and order your dinner only during dinner hours. Is there any way to do this?

    • Princess Cruises says... July 12, 2011 | 11:49am

      Hi Kathy,

Due to the number of courses served at dinner in the dining room and other operational reasons we are unable to offer all of our passengers the option of ordering off the dining room menus for room service. We do have many menu options available for our room service, as well as other dining options if you are not interested in going to the dining room on some nights.

can anyone tell me if ‘PACIFIC PEARL’have electric jugs in their cabins ,like most other cruise ships have ,for that early cup of tea in the morning most important on a cruise for me thanks grace

    • Princess Cruises says... June 20, 2011 | 10:05am

      Hi Grace,

Our sister company P&O has a ship called the Pacific Pearl. We have a ship called the Pacific Princess. Onboard the Pacific Princess we do not have electric jugs available in the cabins.

  18. Don Tombs says... June 16, 2011 | 9:59am

Have just returned from the Crown Princess cruise around Iceland. My wife is a Celiac so she must not eat Gluten-Free food, well there was little or no gluten free food onboard. My wife actually cried on the first evening, she felt she was being treated like a leper, so I have written to The President and The CEO of Princess Cruises. When finally we managed to get gluten free afternoon teas and breakfasts delivered to our cabin, they charged us 2 x $12 a day, just to eat!. We could never recommend Celiacs going on a Princess Cruise, until they sort it out and retrain their staff, especially the Chef’s and the Maitre d, they promised everything and we got very little, unless they write back with a full apology, then I have promised to put a picture of the ship and how my wife was treated on my GF Website http://www.glutenfree-crawley.org.uk this site is free and is opened daily by UK and US citizens, plus 145 other countries, so Princess Cruises, there are 3 million US Celiacs and 1 million European people, if you want them to travel with you then get your act in order.

    • Don Tombs says... June 16, 2011 | 10:01am

Sorry above should say should only eat Gluten Free Food, my error.

    • Lorna says... June 17, 2011 | 8:49am

I feel so sorry about your wife’s problem and how it spoilt your trip. We enjoy cruising so much. Luckily we can eat anything, but I feel that a big company should cater for those with food allergies, it is not unusual after all.

    • Princess Cruises says... June 17, 2011 | 3:52pm

      Hi Don,

Thank you for the time you have taken to share your experience with us. We do strive to meet all passengers’ dietary needs when possible and apologize for any frustrations you have had during your past cruise. We were able to locate your booking and have shared your comments with our Customer Relations Department and someone will be contacting you to discuss your concerns further. Should you like to follow up on this matter please call: 0845 075 0031

  19. David Baker says... June 15, 2011 | 9:59am

why is it princess cruises are so keen on printing remarks about how good they are but do not want to know when a passenger has cause to complain

    • Princess Cruises says... June 17, 2011 | 3:25pm

      Hi David,

We value passenger feedback and have a dedicated department that works with passengers and travel agents who express concerns regarding their cruise experience, both pre-cruise and post-cruise. If there is anything you would like to discuss further we hope that you contact our Customer Relations Department (customerrelations@princesscruises.com) so that we may look into your concerns further.

What about a cruise tour of South Africa. What could be better than a tour of Victoria Falls, Cruger NP and Capetown followed by a cruise from Cape Town.
