A little about my job:
As Commodore of Princess Cruises I’m the senior master of the fleet and I’m a special point of contact for the company and other captains should they need guidance.
I’m currently in command of Ruby Princess sailing on 7-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries. This summer, I’ll be sailing 12-day Grand Mediterranean itineraries between Venice and Barcelona. Being a ship’s captain requires a mostly enjoyable but rigorous combination of job skills. I’m a mixture of mariner, manager, mentor and master of ceremonies. Dividing my time between the bridge and my other duties is a delicate balance. I like to spend as much time as possible on the bridge because there I’m able to better teach my young officers and share with them my experience and knowledge of a particular ship and also pass along my love for this job and for the sea in general. At the same time, I love going around meeting with passengers and crew.
