A little about my job:
It’s a job where you are taking care of your customers, something we do well at Princess. For me it all started as a tendency to please the public, which grew first into specializing in back and front of the house trades; now I coach and support our staff on one side and listen to the customer at the other end. From the customers – our passengers — I hear compliments about our operation and I hear concerns, which I do my best to rectify. My goal is that our passengers all leave (and return) happy at the end of their cruise.
What item is in your suitcase that you couldn’t travel without?
For the past few years, it’s been an electronic photo collection, which mixes photos of home and family as well as photos of great moments at work. Either at home or at work, the selection usually runs on a frame on my desk and sublimely complements my days.
What’s your most treasured travel souvenir?
A piece of rock from fallen debris at the Great Wall of China.
What’s the most memorable dish you’ve eaten during your travels?
Spaghetti alla carbonara made in a restaurant in Civitavecchia, Italy… but of course I’m partial.
What’s your travel motto?
Stray out of the common and savor the whole experience.
Where haven’t you been that’s on your travel bucket list?
Machu Picchu (amazing but I have not been there yet); Antarctica.
